4 Green Fields and the Horns of a Dilemma

I hear that in Phnom Penh some of the volunteers are going to celebrate the national holiday even though there is only one Paddy among them. The English among them probably need an excuse to drown their sorrows after their mauling by Wales and therefore Paddy's Day is obviously a godsend. God isn't modern marketing amazing as so many people from different countries know about Paddy's Day.

But John Paddy here is miles away from his fellows, cut off from his blood (read alcohol) line and his laptop dongle doesn't deliver tv pictures to watch the club finals.

But still don't feel sorrow for me as the temperatures ins in the 30s and I'm looking out at an avocado and paapaa tree.

So here are 4 green paddy fields to wish you a happy P day (hows that for nostalgia)

Then I thought I would go one better and see if I could organise a Paddy's Day parade here in Sen Monorom. It would be a first. The gathering arrives in Mondulkiri. Shucks, too much of a challenge. So I take my self to the GREEN house (how appropriate and gather the few clients there....French and Finnish surrogate Irish and good humoured about it.

And then the one man parade to the top of the town and the two bulls perched over Sen Monorom. Moi on the horns of a dilemma if that isn't a logical contradition.

And finally, spare a thought for those in Phnom Penh who while away from real paddy fields can repair
to the local Irish bar, appropriately named. SLAINTE

And if you are out in a crowded bar you might appreciate this link, if you can hold on
